Welcome to the Habitations Stephen Jake Beaven  website! Our goal was to build and maintain a stand alone building that houses 24  seniors apartments with a common dining room and community  room as well as a health cooperative.  Habitations Stephen Jake Beaven  allows long time residents to stay and new residents to come and experience all that our beautiful community has to offer.  Also,  this project has brought job opportunities to the  community.

The apartment building is in the centre of Weir Village, and offers 24 self-contained apartments, with 12 on each of two floors. Each apartment has a full kitchen-though tenants provide their own stove and refrigerator- a full bathroom and good storage area. The building has 17 units with one bedroom, 5 units with 2 bedrooms and 2 units adapted for the handicapped. An elevator serves all floors. The common area includes a commercial-grade kitchen, a large dining room and an adjacent residents' lounge, 2 meeting/hobby rooms, a hair-dressing salon and laundry area with coin-operated washers (2) and dryers (2). The elevator goes to the lower floor where the community health clinic is situtated. The grounds are about 4 acres.

The purpose is to provide autonomous seniors with secure, affordable apartments with both food service and cultural activities.

Medical care will be available onsite to all residents and local communities. This bilingual facility offers a friendly and dignified quality of life and enables many residents to live near their family and friends.
